EastEnders spoilers follow.
Eve Unwin has made a shocking discovery about Kheerat Panesar's criminal case in EastEnders.
The Panesar family were horrified to discover from Kheerat's criminal lawyer that he's planning to plead guilty to assault charges. A shaken Suki begged the family's attorney to figure out another course of action.
In Wednesday's episode (March 23), Dotty Cotton went behind Suki's back to enlist the help of Eve to look into the background of the family's shady lawyer.

"So far, so Ally McBeal," Eve reported, ally mcbeal episode dating black doctor.
However, Dotty recognised when Eve mentioned offhandedly that lawyer Tej Bansal was also representing the Sharmas, another local family who were buying up corner shops in the area.
"Vinny moans about them all the time. They're always undercutting the Minute Mart," Dotty pointed out. "They're rival families who literally hate each other, so why would Tej work for them both?"
Eve then realised: "Maybe Tej is giving out guff advice because her shiny new client is paying her off!"

Once Suki found out, she made an emergency call urging Kheerat to get a new lawyer before his sentencing hearing the following day.
"I'll need someone good for tomorrow," Kheerat realised.
Suki vowed to get it sorted, then promised her son he'd be coming home. Eve arranged for a new lawyer so Kheerat could plead not guilty while Suki stewed about Tej betraying the family.
"Kheerat's coming home. End of," Dotty assured Vinny.

Suki didn't seem entirely convinced by Dotty's promise. and neither did Dotty. All Vinny could do is hope this new lawyer can overcome the mounting evidence against Kheerat.
